I initially wanted to make August a month of reviews of great products by companies that I think we all need to be supporting. I included companies from all areas- both organic and not, but companies that are doing more for the world than just making a few dollars.

There’s a lot of negativity around the blogworld at the moment about product reviews and giveaways which is why I chose not to include them in my regular style of posting and instead dedicate separate posts to the reviews because I aim to blog with integrity. I can’t tell you the number of random companies that email me to do reviews for things that I would never purchase or encourage others to purchase. The few hundred dollars they attempt to throw my way in exchange has never been enough of a reason to compromise myself and your trust.

I still have a lot of giveaways lined up along with some great food adventures to share and they’re pretty amazing but every time I go to start writing up my reviews and uploading photos I’m bombarded by a long list of negative comments that make me hesitate. That combined with the start of the school year for both the elementary school I work at and my own university (on the same day no less) has made for a tough couple of weeks… I’ll be posting my reviews and such as soon as possible.

On that note, if you have a problem with what I eat, how I live, or what I chose to do with my blog, please keep moving your comments are not wanted or needed.

My apologies to my blog friends as I’ve been avoiding my Google Reader as well. I’ll be back to commenting and my usual self soon, promise!
